In response to an earlier question regarding this picture, I have a fairly definitive answer that this was at the Grumman plant on Long Island, in 1969-1970. Both A-6s and F-14s were assembled there, but the object in the foreground is a F-14 right horizontal stablizer (the plane in the background is an A-6). The person to Dad's right is Pat Mennona, a project engineer, and to his left, possibly Vice Admiral Bill Martin. The guy in the background between them is probably Tom McGrath, who was a Grumman Manager.
